Project Life Monday Link Up #11

Happy Monday Everyone! I haven't been doing a lot of work on my PL Albums, but I have been up to a lot of great PL-related activities!

I went to a Hobby Lobby sale to pick up some stuff to add flair/embellishment to my cards. Particularly the cards I'm making for my Butterfly Swap.
This was the rough draft. It needed something more...
So I sent the boyfriend to the dollar store for some sequins!
I changed the orientation, and added some bling!
But now that I had new stuff, I had to re-organize EVERYTHING! Anybody else have this problem??? So I started with my 10-drawer cart.
I found out that the tray in our PL core kits fits very nicely inside. Its wonderful. So now I have even more reasons to buy more kits!
Also, before we start the party, dont forget to enter my giveaway! Just a couple days left!

And now to the linky party

Project Urijah: 4 Months

If you've been following along with my posts on my son's Project Life baby album. You'll notice that I skipped his 3 month pages. That is simply because I haven't gotten enough photos printed out to make even a one page spread. I don't know how that happened, I just haven't gotten around to fixing it. Soon though. In the meantime,  I want to share his 4th month of life, which happens to be October,  which means Halloween!
This is page 1. I really did a lot of journaling and I like it so much better than nothing but pictures.  I wrote about his 4 - month check up, all the shots he had to get, and all the tears we cried together. His father and I also nils had our 2 year anniversary,  so I had to write about how much we loved him.
I absolutely love Halloween.  The day before, I went to Once Upon a Child to get him a costume for pictures. They had a 50% off sale on all their Halloween atire. So I got a bunch of cute stuff and took tons of pictures. It was too cold and he is too young to actually go trick or treating.
His costume was an iguana. So adorable. He also had a bunch of Halloween socks that I had to showcase.
This is the last page. We went up north to visit some family, he started eating baby cereal, and we attempted to take fall pictures. I waited to long and the leaves were all brown. Next time we will get pictures sooner.

All in all, I love how these pages turned out and I hope to do a lot more journaling.

Project Life Monday #10

Happy Monday everybody! This week hasn't been too exciting. My sister and her boyfriend came to stay with us for the week. I had a busy schedule and a live-in babysitter was a necessity. But I bought Dreamy Edition! I'm so excited! I'm putting together a closer look post to put on the blog soon.

I got my prints from Snapfish, and I don't think they turned out any better or worse than Shutterflys prints. I hate that neither of them crop the picture very well. But on the same day my prints came in, my very first Gossamer Blue kit came also!

I really like the colors of GBs kits. They are bright, bold, and colorful.

I also joined Project Life Card Swap! It's so fun making PL cards. I got my first 8 cards done the very first day!
This is my Floral card. To see more pictures of other cards I've made, check out this post.

Before we get to the link-up, I want to remind everyone about my giveaway for 100 cards from the Favorite Things Edition Core Kit

DIY PL Cards

I signed up for my first ever PL Card Swap! I'm so excited! I signed up for a floral theme, butterfly theme, free horizontal theme, and I accidentally signed up for a vintage rinchie theme, but I'm going to go ahead and do it anyway.
After I made this card for the floral theme, I thought it was so fun! So I finished my cards for the floral theme, and made some random ones.
The background here came from a bag I got from Sears with a Christmas present. I love all the texture!

This is a card from Jade Edition. I just added some embellishments and called it good!
I would love to see some cards that you guys make!

Project Life Monday #9 and big giveaway!

Thank you so much for joining Karen and I for another PL Link Up! We are slowly reaching new people, and we need your help! Make sure you're sharing with your friends!

This week I have spent a lot of time getting my work area to work for me. Lots of trips to the dollar store, but they had some really cute bins, buckets, and drawers.

I also ordered some pictures from Snapfish. I've never ordered pictures from any place other than Shutterfly, so I have no idea how they will turn out.

On top of that, I started a subscription to Gossamer Blue! Thats what I'm most excited about. I looked into a bunch of different PL subscriptions, and I just liked the colors GB had.

Michaels had a sale on Scrapbook albums. Buy one, get one free. So my sister and I picked up a couple. I'm so glad that she decided to do PL with me. It took me awhile to get it through to her that she can do whatever she wants, that there are no rules. She didn't think she could start an album without a child or family to document. But I gave her some page protectors and cards anyway. She's using hers to put her favorite pictures and journal a lot. I wasn't going to explain to her how other people do theirs, or how to do it chronologically, because she has never been interested in anything creative (although she did make an awesome scrapbook-style report on Jackie Robinson for school) and I didn't want to overwhelm her with any sort of limits. So now when she comes over to babysit my son, she gets to play with my PL cards and stickers.

With the album that I got, I'm doing an all-about-me style. I'll probably include some of my favorite Pins and other random bits of information I like and thinks I make or want to make. Its going to be a hodge-podge of things that interest me. I'll be showing those later. for now, lets just get this party started!

Last week, we had a good amount of people linking up. I want to thank all of you and I can't wait to see what you link up this week!

Project Urijah: 2 Months Old Pt.2

Here is the second spread of Urijah at 2 months old! We had a lot of cute pajamas that he never wore because our home was too warm, so once it started to cool down, I got pictures of him in most of them before he outgrew them. I really love the right side.

Hope you enjoyed! Don't forget to link up to Project Life Monday!
