Project Life Monday Link Up

Happy Monday Everyone!
This week, I was working on making enamel dots to add to my PL pages, and I also bought the Dear Lizzy Edition. I was only looking at it because it was on clearance, but I didn't like the colors, but then my boyfriend talked me into getting it, and I ended up liking most of it.

I also got a closer look post up for Dreamy Edition so you can see what cards you are winning in my February Give-Away.

Anyway, before we start the link-up, don't forget to enter this months giveaway for some cards from Dreamy Edition!

DIY Enamel Dots

So everybody loves enamel dots, rights? And everybody loves saving money? Or is that just me? Well I have recently discovered a way to gain a huge enamel dot collection, and not break my bank.
I bought these awesome Pony Beads for less than  $10 from Jo Anns. I picked them because I love rainbows.

After I arranged them on Parchment Paper and preheated my oven to 400°, I placed them in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Look at those! It was so pretty I almost didn't want to take them off the sheet.
These are a pretty big size; slightly smaller than a dime. Even though the beads were matte, the melted dots came out glossy and stayed that way.
Don't like big enamel dots? No problem. Try Perler beads!
Also less than $10 (with coupon), but these take longer to arrange on the sheet. And also longer to cook. Mine took about a half hour at 275°-300°.
The double stacked beads were an experiment. Double stacking makes slightly bigger dots, and they aren't as big as the Pony Beads. But I was hoping for a pink dot with a purple ring around it. Didn't happen.
These are what they look like melted.
Obviously you can make a lot in one batch. I have plenty but I'm still making more!
Also, I left the perler beads in for an hour and a half on accident, but they didn't burn at all and they were a little flatter. The Pony Beads started turning brown when I didn't pull them out of the oven as soon as they were done.
I totally love adding a bunch of these to my PL Cards!

Dreamy Edition: A Closer Look

Here is a closer look at the Dreamy Edition Core Kit!

4x6 First and Last Page cards
3x4 first and last page cards
some title cards
Some journaling cards
And here are all of the 3x4 double sided cards
I absolutely love this edition. My only complaint is that there was obviously an issue printing and some of the cards are blurry and darker because of multiple printing on the same card:
But other than that, its a lovely edition. Don't forget to enter the giveaway to win 100 cards from Dreamy Edition:

Project Life Monday #14 And Giveaway

Happy Monday! I don't know about anybody else, but I can't work in an area that doesn't work for me. So this week, while waiting for my pictures to come in the mail, I re-organized my entire work space. It helped that all of Michaels craft organization stuff was half off, and I could stack a 25% off coupon on top of that! Hobby Lobby also had 50% off of their Paper Studio products, including organizational stuff.
I bought 2 carts...
... and 3 desktop organizing shelves. in addition to 2 2-pack washi tape dispensers. Spent around $150 and feel like I got a whole new area!

I also started making my own enamel dots. Super easy!
Aren't they so pretty!?

I'm finally getting more days off of work, so I will get right back into putting more posts up! I have a lot of ideas!

Anyway, before we start the link-up, don't forget to enter this months giveaway for some cards from Dreamy Edition!

Project Life Monday #13

Welcome to another Project Life Monday! This week I have been working on the blog while waiting for my pictures to come in the mail. There's a new page under 'Project Life' called 'Getting Started'. It's still a work in progress, but it's officially published!

This week, I managed to find time to work on a half-spread. I've also decided that since I'm working on 3 albums, our family album is probably going to just be monthly. So this page is for the first half of January. Brandon made dinner (which rarely happens) and I got a satellite image of Michigan's snow.

Before we get to the link party, I want to get this months giveaway going! This month I am giving away 100 cards from the Dreamy Edition! I will also have a closer look post up in a couple days so you can see what all the cards look like!

Project Life Monday #12

Happy Monday! This week has been full of shopping since I got my taxes back! First, I got ahold of a Cricut Explore for $150 at Walmart. Then, I found a new way to organize my PL cards, since my old way was taking up more space than I liked. I picked up these boxes for $2 each at Michaels. I had a hard time deciding between these and a large Iris box with the picture containers inside.
These fit 3 kits each, and I'm not 100% sure that I prefer this over the Iris Container.
But anyway, this is the first page for my personal album. I used Favorite Things edition.
This is the first page, I still have a lot of work to do, just waiting on pictures to show up.

Before we get to the link party, I want to get this months giveaway going! This month I am giving away 100 cards from the Dreamy Edition! I will also have a closer look post up in a couple days so you can see what all the cards look like!

Project Life Monday Link Up #11

Happy Monday Everyone! I haven't been doing a lot of work on my PL Albums, but I have been up to a lot of great PL-related activities!

I went to a Hobby Lobby sale to pick up some stuff to add flair/embellishment to my cards. Particularly the cards I'm making for my Butterfly Swap.
This was the rough draft. It needed something more...
So I sent the boyfriend to the dollar store for some sequins!
I changed the orientation, and added some bling!
But now that I had new stuff, I had to re-organize EVERYTHING! Anybody else have this problem??? So I started with my 10-drawer cart.
I found out that the tray in our PL core kits fits very nicely inside. Its wonderful. So now I have even more reasons to buy more kits!
Also, before we start the party, dont forget to enter my giveaway! Just a couple days left!
