Navy Blue & White Button Bracelet with Anchor Charm

Lately I have been  going crazy with all these buttons I have bought from Arnie's Arts & Crafts. After the Rainbow Button Bracelet I made awhile ago, I made one for a friend from work. She likes to call it "50 Shades of Purple".  I'll post pictures of it in a later post. For this post, I made a less crowded button bracelet. At first it was just going to be buttons, but then I added beads, ribbon, and a charm. The anchor craze that's going around isn't really my style, and I prefer bright colors, but I did end up liking how this turned out. 

Project takes about an hour

Materials:

• Small buttons in your choice of colors
• Chain approx. 7-7 1/2in. Or whatever length works for you
• Toggle clasp
• Jump rings large enough to go through the buttons
• Pliers

Optional: 

• Ribbon
• Beads
• Super Glue
• Charm

Whenever working with chain, I always like to add the toggle clasps first. I thought about using lobster claw clasps, but I favor toggles. 

Then I started adding the buttons with the jump rings. They were large enough to also add a seed bead, and I used alternating colors.

Normally, I connect two buttons to each link, but I decided to add one button every other link. I'm sure it would look good with more buttons as well, as long as there is some sort of pattern. I continued adding buttons and beads, weaved a ribbon through the chain, and added an anchor charm at the end. I was so excited about finishing it, that I forgot to take a picture at each step. The only issue I had was getting the ribbon to stay put. I weaved it into the tiny jump ring that connects the chain to the toggle, and tried to secure it with fabric glue... Did. Not. Work. I had to use super glue. Other than that, it's a fairly simple bracelet.
