Project LifeI come from absolutely no background in scrap booking. Nobody in my family has done it, but my mom is a point-and-shoot photographer like none other. She has photos in every nook and cranny in the house. I had no desire to scrap book until I found out about project life, when I was 3 months pregnant. I immediately started saving up before I even knew what to do.

My approach to PL is a little different than most, and I haven't found anyone who does theirs like me. (If you do, let me know, I'd love some inspiration!) I don't document my life, I document my sons. Its sort of like a cross between a photo album and a baby book. I like to have his pictures side-by-side with memories, stories, and his firsts. I'm not one of those Project Life-ers that produce a magnificent spread every single time, but I do surprise myself every now and then. I don't do a spread for every week/month, but I do group photos together by how old my son is in them. His "Birth to 1 Month" section has about 3 spreads, but his "2 Months to 3 Months" might have 6. Then I'll have maybe a whole spread in that section devoted to a certain day or something,
